Lot 66 A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 68725, A.W.& Co. Ltd, 1922, from a North Eastern Railway Class E1, LNER J72 Class, 0-6-0T No 2318 built by Armstrong Whitworth & Co, Works No 396, in April 1922. Renumbered 8725 in 1946, it became BR 68725. At Heaton by January 1948, it moved in 1956 to Tweedmouth from where it was withdrawn on 4 April 1960 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", cleaned and the front repainted. £200-350
