Lot 334 A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 65878, DARLINGTON, 1922, from a North Eastern Railway Class P3, LNER J27 Class, 0-6-0 No 2356 built at Darlington in June 1922, renumbered 5878 in 1946, becoming BR 65878. A long time Sunderland engine, it moved towards the end to Heaton and North Blyth from where it was withdrawn on 12 October 1964 and sold for scrap to Hughes Bolckow at Blyth. Cast iron, 9"x5", with brass renumbering strip, the front repainted. £150-300
